Graduate Political Science Programs

History or Political Science? Which is more respected?
I am currently majoring in Political Science.
I have intentions of attending either law school, an MBA program, or a master’s program.
I like polisci, however if I were to major in History it would be such a piece of cake for me to do extremely well.
I have always been under the impression that PoliSci was more respected by graduate programs.
Is this true?
It is not true. Both are good majors for law school, MBA, or any sort of master’s program. No admissions boards look at an applicant and say, “This guy has 4.0 in History, this other guy has 4.0 in PoliSci, let’s go with the PoliSci guy since we like that major better.” I guarantee you NO ADMISSIONS BOARD thinks like that.
More important is your GPA, entrance exam score (GMAT, GRE, LSAT), recommendation letters, application essays and interviews. So focus on taking classes in the major that you really enjoy and will more likely to do better in since you are more interested in it. (Harder to do well in a subject that you don’t like and are not interested in)
